Monitors raw water flow.
Sounds alarm and triggers red light panel if cooling water flow stops.
Prevents engine overheating due to flow obstruction such as debris, or sea weed.
Requires 4 to 6 gpm flow. Connections 1’’ female thread. designed to be connected with either 1" or 1 1/4" hose (connector required).

Installation Instructions
This kit includes: 1 ea. Flow Detector – 1 ea. Warning Light – I ea Audio Alarm
The Aqualarm SAVE-YOUR-ENGINE KIT is designed for installation in plumbing systems having a ½”, ¾”, 1-¼”, or 1-½” pipe size.
The SAVE-YOUR-ENGINE KIT Cooling Water Flow Detector has 1” female pipe threads.
Use appropriate size male pipe thread to hose barb fittings in each end of the Flow Detector
.
1. Install the Flow Detector unit between the raw water sea strainer and the engine raw water pump.
If it is more convenient, install the Flow Detector unit between the engine raw water discharge and the exhaust raw water over board.
Be sure the flow arrow on the Flow Detector corresponds with the engine raw water flow direction.
The wire leads may be used interchangeably, there is no polarity.
2. Install the Warning Light and Audible Alarm in a convenient location on the control console. Use 18 gauge wire for all wire runs.
The Audible Alarm has two options for sound output: Red Wire creates constant sound, White Wire creates intermittent sound. You may use either option.
PLEASE NOTE ; THE FLOW DETECTOR SHOULD BE FITTED IN A HORIZONTAL POSITION.
3. AFTER INSTALLATION:
1. Loosen set screw and move the Flow Detector adjustable collar to the LO position
2. Start the engine and let it run at idle RPM
3. Slowly slide the adjustable collar in the direction of the HI position until alarm sounds and /or red light turns on
4. Slowly slide the adjustable collar back in the direction of the LO position until alarm stops and/or light goes out
5. Tighten set screw.avoid over tightening
